ARTAC and Smart Africa seminar on Free Roaming
On the sidelines of the 9th ordinary session of the Conference of Regulators of the Assembly of Telecommunications Regulators of Central Africa (ARTAC), ARTAC is organizing, in collaboration with Smart Africa, a seminar on Free Roaming from 22 to 23 April 2024 in Yaoundé (Cameroon), .
The main objectives of this seminar are to:
- Contribute to the finalization of the remaining minutes, including pricing agreements between regulators;
- Finalize the signing of pending interconnection and roaming contracts;
- Inquire about possible technical and legal difficulties that the parties involved (regulators, operators) might encounter;
- Resolve the issue of separation between roaming and traditional international traffic on the direct interconnection links to be established, which was raised and supported by certain countries.
