This growth has been driven by operator customer win-back campaigns. Additionally, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) subscriptions rose to 1.607 million. The sector also experienced growth with mobile money subscriptions increasing to 38.7 million, a penetration rate of 75%. The growth was spurred by the removal of withdrawal codes for transactions conducted between M-Pesa and Airtel Money, allowing seamless fund transfers among the two mobile wallets.
